The List: Lottafrutta
Just when I start to think The Best Dish List is playing it safe, I find a surprise. Last week, the surprise came in the form of a fruit cup. A fruit cup?
Seriously? How great could a fruit cup be?
Well, if you've ever been to Lottafrutta, you know the answer is "pretty great!" I went to the original location in Old Fourth Ward to sample the Cremolotta. (For those of you in North Atlanta, note there's also a location in Avalon!)The cremolotta is basically fruit (papaya, grapes, assorted melon) floating in a bed of coconut cream. The textures are superb and the dash of Mexican Vanilla (one of my favorite secret ingredients) is absolutely perfect.Simply gorgeous.
I am a fan.
Most definitely list worthy!!Plus, you have to support a place that "believes in umbrellas."
