“Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not? Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that.” George Carlin
I'm a sucker for stop-motion films as a both a story and art form.
Woody, a short from Australian filmmaker Stuart Bowen is particularly outstanding (all of the film festivals seem to agree). The story of Woody, an aspiring piano player who has paddles for hands, couldn't be more beautifully shot.
Pay attention to the lighting, music, and the ridiculous attention to detail. I think it's stunning.
If seeing the film isn't inspiring enough, check out "the making of" video which details the two-year process. (TWO years!!)
You have to appreciate the results as well as the dedication to their craft. Well done Mr. Bowen & Co!!!
