Scare Tactics

I'm not saying ice storms aren't scary, but if you live in the Southeast and have been exposed to the local news, you have likely noticed the word "catastrophic" being flung around as often and annoyingly as a pre-teen saying "like." I'm sure we all appreciate the warnings, and, rest assured, after the storm challenges a couple of weeks ago, people are buckled up ready for the impact.

Still, I think it's also safe to say we are tired of people fanning the flames of fear.

Cabin fever seems like a mild affliction compared to storm hype.  Even if you don't live in this CATASTROPHIC storm's path, you have probably experienced the over-sell yourself.
